I brought a friend here and they kept mentioning how much they loved the New York feel and vibes to this place. The pizza's we got (Hawaiian and white pizza) were sooo freaking good. I'm usually not a Hawaiian fan and this one made me a very big fan. Service was fast and friendly, such a great place! Sorry my picture isn't great, I took it too fast because I was so eager to eat lol
This is the best pizza I've ever had. Been to NYC twice and have had the pleasure of enjoying this pizza twice! The entire experience was great. You will not be disappointed and if you are well I don't know what to tell ya. When I talk about the best pizza I've ever had it is hands down Ace's! Get some bread stick bites !! The atmosphere of this pizza place is perfect. Employees Pizza Experience from start to finish Go to NYC and make your way to Williamsburg and go to Ace's!!! Life is short, eat good pizza !!!
Really fun, old school pizza place that looks like it hadn't been renovated in 50 years. Wife and I sat at the bar and had a beer and split the personal sized vodka meatball. It was perfectly cooked and light. The bartender was really friendly and we chatted for a bit while waiting for our food.
Ace's truly has some of the best pizza in New York. It's square Detroit-style. Not too thick, not too thin. Super fresh ingredients. I could eat here every single day. Please check this spot out!
Well, I'm back again. Sensational Detroit style pizza and each bite is so pillowy soft and absolutely delicious. This time I went upon opening at 12 noon on a Sunday and was the first to be seated. I am proud to say I got the first personal vodka meatball pie out the oven. As usual the staff is super cool and attentive.
Ace's Pizza is spectacular. I was meeting up with a friend in Williamsburg, and stopping here was one of the best decisions I've ever made. This is one of the best slices in New York, and I've had a ton of pizza in the City. I ordered a personal meat lovers, which was plenty of food. The pepperoni and sausage were very flavorful, and the crust was deliciously crispy. I had great service at the bar, and the pizza came out quickly. This place has a cool, laid back retro vibe.
After a lovely run across the bridges my friends and I had to stop by Aces pizza for a sliceeeeee (much deserved reward). this place SCREAMS vintage pizza diner shop its so cute. they had outside seating with fans which was a must as we near the fall - was still hot but still cool (weird weather). service was a bit slow as people who sat after us got served before us but honestly that wont stop me from coming back. we started with a table side ceasar which was so yummy. perfectly crunchy and the crutons hit. then for my slice i got the cheeseburger pizza and yall this ACTUALLY tasted like a cheeseburger it was NUTTS. sooo savory and delicious and pizza form yet cheeseburger flavor i was obsessed. if you like a thick pizza this is the place for you, 10/10 would come baccccc
I'm a massive fan of Ace's and it might be due to my bias towards Detroit style pizza. Their personal pizza comes in 2 slices, medium in 4, and large in 8 slices. At $10 for a personal pizza, it's a bit pricy but if you like Detroit style pizza, Ace's is a must in NYC. The slices always come piping hot, and are generally nice and crispy on the bottom. On this visit, I got the Supreme pizza for the slightly healthier option but I will admit that I think the pepperoni is much better. It is also worth noting that the pizza here is on the doughier side in case that's not preferred. Unlike a lot of the pizza places nearby, Ace's is more of a sit down restaurant where they provide water and utensils, and have restrooms inside. This makes service slightly slower than other by-the-slice places nearby but there's plenty of seating both inside and out front. Overall, I have yet to find a better Detroit style pizza in the city than Ace's but I'm actively on the hunt
Came here on a late Saturday afternoon for a snack, without realizing that they don't really have a "snack" option. The smallest size is their personal portion, which is still two pretty hefty slices. Freshly made though, so still super hot and fresh! I got the hot burrata, and it was really good. Pepperonis were cooked to perfection, super crispy and crunch. The burrata provided pops of freshness and creaminess, and the calabrian chili really stood out, with its extreme amounts of flavor. The dough itself was also great, as it was super fluffy and light, with a good crisp around the edges. The only thing that was a bit weird to me was that the bottom of the slices weren't very crispy at all, and I was expecting that with how well crisped the edges were. This made the middle bites a bit homogeneous in terms of texture. Overall, still really solid. Will definitely be back to try a full pie!
